Booksigning - #3 - Steeplechase Publix in Jonesville

As you might remember, Sage did a couple of booksignings in February to promote the book "Love Is..." she appears in. Ms. Shelly Mickle, the publisher, has been hard at work with additional books and more promoting. She asked Sage to join another booksigning and we were happy to!

The new book at this booksigning was "Here Comes Julie Jack" and the Illustrator, Andre Frattino was in attendance doing charicatures with the purchase of a book. We lucked out that he did one of Sage. How cute is this!!

Later Andre became quite busy doing this family of 4 decked out in their Gator Garb.

Sage had taken some art supplies and invited lots of kids to color and chat with her.

While there were not lots of books sold - we deemed the day a success!

Labor Day weekend at Jensen Beach - 2011

Sunday: Sage getting ready for some tubing. In the background is the pavillion we had for the day to celebrate Poppy and Grandma's 57th Wedding Anniversary. The weather so PERFECT - we had a BLAST!

Sage was LOVING the tube and started to get a hang of steering it a little!

Unfortunately Sage's day ended with her getting stung by a jellyfish. It was actually a really bad sting! Her thigh got it the worst, but she also had welts on her arm. Thank goodness Grandma had brought a jug of pickles - the juice came in handy! While she was really upset at first, once the bad stinging sub-sided she was off to show everyone her war wounds -especially her classmates on Tuesday! At this point it's almost healed completely thank goodness!

What better way to end the first day of school - Ice Cream!

So when we picked Sage up from her first day of school the first comment was "That was the best day EVER!" That's a blessing to hear as a parent!

So we took Sage to Hardee's and got some Ice Cream to celebrate!

Almost to class. She was suppose to take some summer vacation souvenirs today. She decided on her walking stick from our camping vacation, her shell necklace and bracelet from Jensen Beach and her Penny Passport Collection
